11:30am – Indie Arts Systems

In the past few years, the potential agency of the independent artist has greatly increased through the Canada Council for the Arts’ New Funding Model. Through project and composite funding independent artists and small collectives can now access greater resources, plan multiple projects per year, and access multi-year funding.

Sounds great, right? But is it? How are artists adapting? What infrastructure is possible to maintain? How can the larger ecology adapt to these changes?

A Long Table discussion with guest artists.

12:30pm – CultureBrew.ART Demo

Hosted by Magnetic North. Produced in assocation with Rumble. Supported by Neworld and PL 1422.
