About This Event

Battle of Ballantyne Pier
By Sherry MacDonald, Peter Jorgensen, and Sean Bayntun with Russell Wallace

In association with Patrick Street Productions.
Presented with the generous support of ILWU Canada and its locals.

Get in on the ground floor of this new musical in progress about the long shore workers’ strike of 1935 in Vancouver and the bloody confrontation known as “The Battle of Ballantyne Pier”. What better way to learn about Canadian labour history than by singing and dancing long shore men!

The artists also invite Magnetic North Passholders to see the work 5pm June 4 at the Maritime Labour Centre (1880 Triumph Street, Vancouver).
