The Magnetic North Theatre Festival has a mandate to showcase Canadian work presented in English, whether originally written in English or translated from another language. Although we do not present international works, original Canadian adaptations of international plays will be considered. Factors such as the suitability of venues, diversity of the potential audience attracted to the particular production, tourability, and quality of theatrical experience will affect the selection process.

Companies and artists who wish to have their work considered for presentation at the Magnetic North Theatre Festival should send performance information (including a production schedule) to the Artistic Director at the coordinates given below. Please submit information at least 3 months in advance of performance date. We do not accept unsolicited scripts or videotapes.

OAC RESERVE SELECTION CRITERIA

Magnetic North Theatre Festival invites proposals from Ontario-based individual artists, ad-hoc collectives or unincorporated theatre companies to submit proposals to the Artistic Director. Successful applications will be awarded seed money via the Ontario Arts Council Theatre Creator's Reserve to enable them to further explore ideas which fascinate them.
