Network, mingle or just relax after the show. The Elephant & Castle (lower level) is this year’s Festival hotspot. Join us every evening after the performances for great conversation, good fun, drinks and nibblies. Located at the corner of Rideau and Sussex, in the very heart of downtown Ottawa.

Open Mic Thursdays
On June 7 and June 14 after 10 PM, join us for Open Mic at our Festival Bar, The Elephant & Castle. This is your chance to share your diverse hidden talents with your Festival colleagues in a relaxed, informal setting. Songs, stories, party pieces, poetry… anything goes! Please sign up in advance at the info desk or by sending an email to judi@magneticnorthfestival.ca no later than 6PM on the night of the event, with a title or brief description and approximate duration of your piece. Maximum 10 minutes per piece.

Buddy Up to the Bar
This year Magnetic North teams up local and visiting theatre companies in our buddy system, whereby each featured company in the Festival is paired with a local host theatre company for some bona fi de Ottawa hospitality. All host companies are being asked to share something they love about Ottawa with their visiting guests, and to engage in a group activity fostering social and professional interaction. Come and hear what they discovered about Ottawa… and each other!
